Are you Looking for DHEA in Canada?

DHEA.ca

Are you looking for dhea in Canada?  How did you find out about dhea, and why do you want to take it?  Please comment below and we can all help each other learn about dhea.

Right now in Canada you need a prescription for dhea.  In the US, it is more readily available.  There are also online stores that ship international, however I'm not sure what happens to a dhea shipment at the border.  If you have any insight please comment.  We will keep researching and learn more about dhea in Canada.

  1. I am a 67 year old male [Canadian] , and have been taking DHEA for 25 years. periodicaly I have noticed I am able to order DHEA from the US and then for no reason, it is not allowed to be shipped to Canada. I order enough for one years supply because of this problem. Sometimes I am forced to go over to the US and buy it. This is a very helpful natural substance and it helps me greatly. I don't look 67 and when I compare myself with other men I know in their 60's , I am both stronger and appear younger. I bench press 175# which is very good for my age [my 34 year old son can't do it]. Would someone please advise Health Canada, they are keeping a great help agent from us seniors. DHEA is also very good for the libido [my wife will attest to that]. I can be reached at : e-mail: mrcleen4u@yahoo.com

    1. I also have been taking dhea for 20 pluss years every single day and am 52 years young. i started out at 50mg and for the past 5 years increased to 100mg daily as I get older. i haven't been able to buy it but will get it some how. in the mean time i have to resort to finding testosterone thats not only expensive but not as effective as the DHEA was. I have noticed in the past 4 months since my supply ran out decreased energy levels and libido. Body fat increased ect... I believe that the governments wants to increase diabetes in our population so Doctors are happy making more money. Its a crime this is happening and needs to stop right now! i am 52 and have not had so much as a cold in the past 25 years since taking deha. Im a Ski instructor family man,Free style Arial coach very active. i have noticed since not taking dhea in the past 4 months a few joints not working at 100%. im really mad about this because it has been proven to work and now even for person use we cant get it. Shame on you Canada shame on you!! We are the only country in the world that cant get it any mnore what a buch of death wish A holes who ever came up with not even allowed to buy for person use!! Theres always the black market i guess like everything good for you it doesnt help big phamas bottom line and line doctors pockets a tiny country like Canada gets raped again!

  2. As a one-time Customs (now CRA) it is no secret that the TPPA fostered by the Conservative govt. is creeping into controlling international shipping as it is the beginning of international taxation. Health Cda.is no help either, having a vested interest in maintaining big pharma as does the U$ FDA. I, too import on an international scale so am not unaware of this buildup for the controlling of we peasants importing health foods.

  3. I went to a hormone specialist 5 years ago who prescribed it for me (along with other meds)when I was going through peri-menopause symptoms. At the time I had to literally force myself out of bed every day. My blood tests revealed a level of 1.6 DHEA and after 2 months (started at 25 mg/day the 1st month then up to 50 mg/day after more blood tests) my level was at 7 which is where he wanted it. Unbelievable how much difference it made in my energy!

I had bought my 1st bottle at a health food store but then found them about 1/2 the price in the states so started ordering from there. Then the FDA put a stop to that and I could only get them made at a pharmacy that makes compound prescriptions. I think I was paying about $8/month from the states and about $40/month from the pharmacy.

A couple friends bought some at Walmart in the states this summer and had it taken away at the border. They were treated like drug smugglers and have been flagged!

I stopped taking it in 2010 but had my family doctor check my DHEA levels in a recent blood test. You have to ask as most doctors know little about hormone therapy. I was lucky to have found a doctor who specialized in hormones at a clinic and was treated by him before he opened his own private practice and now charges $225/appointment.

My DHEA level is now at 2.2 and the "normal" range is between 1.6 - 14. So obviously I'm in need again which I knew because I have no energy. Being on disability I can't afford $40/month as it's not covered! I'm very hesitant to order it from the companies (probably in China) who will ship to Canada as you really don't know what you're getting and could lose your money if it doesn't get past the border.

And you can sure as hell bet this site is being monitored as they have nothing better to do!

  4. I'm also a 67 year old man who has taken DHEA off and on for 20 years. I simply feel better when taking a small amount of DHEA every other day. I'm not a weight lifter or looking to increase my libido I take it because I have more energy and simply feel better when taking it. My mind seems sharper as well. I currently do not have any and I know there have been periods when it's not available.

    1. I would like to know how I can get DHEA for myself as I'm going through peri-menopause myself and my naturopathic/physician won't prescribe it to me as its illegal here. This is so ridiculous as people are dying from actual legal drugs here and DHEA is a safe supplement.

I am on Disability too and only 11/2 hours away from the border but afraid I will get stopped at the border and treated like a criminal as well. Its utterly ridiculous and frustrating to say the least.

  5. Health Canada classified DHEA as being anabolic steroid. As such, it can not be sold in Canada. Just last year in September, I was able to buy it on Amazon.ca for $9.00. Now, it is almost $40.00.
Similarly, Lithium is no longer allowed to be shipped to Canada.
I ordered reasonably priced Tadalafil (Cialis). I use it successfully for treatment of my high blood pressure. It was stopped at the border. Reason: I am not a doctor and consequently, not allowed to import medicine. I cannot afford to buy it from a pharmacy.
    Ridiculous!

  7. I have severe progressive myalgic encephalomyelitis and when i had blood work done i had very low dhea-s and absolutely no testosterone. I would think dhea is safer than a testosterone patch. I suffer so much with this illness and would think if I was able to increase my testosterone (even by a small amount) I would feel a little better and benefit. Obviously I am not looking to increase to large amounts, I would think some testosterone is better than none,

  10. I am a 76 year old woman. I had a ver traumatic experience a year and a half ago and suffered from post traumatic stress. I had no energy and and my body was in such poor shape it was hard to move. I saw a private nurse practioner who prescribed DHEA after my blood tests showed a level of 1 along with other nutritional supplements. I was on it for three month and was feeling much better and my blood test showed much improvement, the nurse lowered the dosage but recommended that I stay on it. When I went to the nutrional supplements store to purchase more I was told that they were out of it because their shipment was stopped at the border. The clerk recommended Crysin which I purchased but this supplement caused havock for me. I could not sleep and felt irritable. When I checked it on the internet I found that this upplement should not be taken by women. I found this experience very upsetting especially since the small nutrional supplement store is operating from the same clinic were the nurse is a family practioner. Now I have not taken anything for about four days and can already feel the effects on my body. Very little energy. We should not be deprived of this supplement in our country.

  12. i have read where you can increase your DHEA naturally with omegas and healthy fats like coconut oil. Has anyone else tried this and did it help? I do take coconut oil in the mornings but didn't know of a relationship with DHEA, maybe I should try taking more in the afternoon as well. Any advice is appreciated.

    1. Can anyone tell me when this ridiculous DHEA ban will be changed so consumers can order it for personal use again? Any information would be great. There is no alternative and alot people will die before there time because of this nonsense. my dads 86 and been on it for years with 20/20 vision and great health and im 52 same results after 25 years taking DHEA. I dont know anyone else my age who can run as far and has perfict vision still that doesnt take dhea. Look at Arnold and Sylvester Stallone tina turner all dhea advocates. Dhea and exercise will slow ageing. But in Canada they are so worried about the baby boomers getting older they will do anything to stop them from dipping into the pension plan for longer than people who dont take DHEA. Sad state of affairs for Canada's elderly. Shame on you Canada for making life harder then it needs to be. Regards James Watson PG BC CAN

  18. I was taking DHEA for a decade and know it has kept me healthy (rarely got sick), and slowed down the aging process. I know for a fact it was helping with my libido and erections. However, I am now a criminal as I was caught bringing up a couple of bottles (a year's supply) from the US. The border guard was convinced it was an anabolic and I was bringing it up to sell. I cooperated to the best of my ability but it didn't matter what I told her. I was stripped searched (yes, even the body cavities) and fined $4000. They were going to take my van as well, but as it wasn't worth much and the border guard could see it wasn't going to hurt me too much to do that.

So, yeah, I'm thinking there is stupidity and power tripping on so many levels here. I'm thinking that when I retire in a few years, I just may move down to the US (even with Trump there). I have my health to think of.

    2. I need help being able to get this
I know this is the key to really change my health. I'm in Canada of course...is there anywhere online to try and ship?
I can't believe how our country wants us to stay sick and pay the pharmaceutical companies.. grrr

    3. OMG I cannot believe this! Ever since I went into menopause and now am post menopausal but severely Sick. My levels of DHEA are low almost non existant. My family Dr. sent me to an endocrinologist, he did nothing, absolutely nothing for me. Now I have been diagnosed with RA and fibromyalgia! That diagnosis is wrong. If you have extremely low almost non existant level of a very important hormone but are not getting treated then how can you be diagnosed with another disease. Does not make sence. I know 100 0/0 that these low levels are wrecking hovac and Dr.'S do not want you to get better. They want you to take 3-5 medications(to help investors and pharmaceutical industries and their merry'go'round)and continue to see tge specialists and be monitored(in case you go blind from the meds they give you)every 3-6 months ect. The best you can do is eat the healthiest, excersise, ect.We sheep must stick together as a pack as we are being taken advantage of in every way possible it disgusts me to the core.

    4. The government doesn't want us to look after our health. The sooner we die the less OAPension, etc. they have to pay out....right! Yup,sick, but I'm sure that's how and why a lot of things are the way they are.
